Diese Datenschutzerklärung gilt ausschließlich für die App „Dreamlex". Für unsere Spiele (Aurena Moonlight, Star Bastion, Astrovex: Space Shooter, Pixel Atelier) gilt die allgemeine Datenschutzerklärung. Dreamlex hat eine eigene, weil hier zusätzlich KI-Funktionen und ein Abo dazukommen. Unsere anderen Apps haben eigene: Astrolex (Astrologie) und Humanlex (Human Design).

2. Das Wichtigste zuerst

Dreamlex ist bewusst so gebaut, dass so wenig wie möglich über dich bekannt wird:

Kein Konto, keine Anmeldung. Wir führen keine Nutzerkonten und keine eigene Nutzerdatenbank. Wir wissen nicht, wer du bist.
Deine Träume und dein Tagebuch liegen auf deinem Gerät. Sie stehen in einer Datenbank innerhalb der App. Wir haben keine Kopie davon, und es wird nichts laufend zu uns übertragen.
Eine Ausnahme, die du selbst auslöst: Für die KI-Auswertungen deines Tagebuchs („Frag dein Tagebuch" sowie Wochen- und Monatsbericht, beide nur im Premium-Abo) verlassen gekürzte Auszüge mehrerer Einträge dein Gerät. Das geschieht nur, wenn du eine Auswertung startest – und beim ersten Mal fragt dich die App vorher. Was dabei genau übertragen wird, steht in Abschnitt 4.
Wir speichern keine Trauminhalte. Auch nicht die Texte, die für eine KI-Deutung verarbeitet werden.
Wir schauen auf Zahlen, nicht auf Inhalte. Mit deiner Einwilligung erfassen wir über Google Firebase Analytics, welche Funktionen genutzt werden (z. B. „App geöffnet") – nie, was du schreibst. Trauminhalte und Tagebucheinträge gehen nie an Analytics, und wir bilden daraus keine Profile über einzelne Personen. Einzelheiten in Abschnitt 7.
Aber: Die Gratis-Version zeigt Werbung über Google AdMob. Wenn du personalisierter Werbung zustimmst, verarbeitet Google dafür deine Werbe-ID und bildet daraus app-übergreifend Interessenprofile. Das ist Tracking – auch wenn nicht wir es tun. Einzelheiten in Abschnitt 6. Stimmst du nicht zu, siehst du nur nicht-personalisierte Werbung. Im Premium-Abo wird gar keine Werbung geladen, dann findet auch das nicht statt.

Was dein Gerät verlässt, steht in Abschnitt 4 – bitte lies diesen Abschnitt, bevor du die KI-Funktionen nutzt.

3. Daten auf deinem Gerät

Deine Traumeinträge, dein Traumtagebuch und deine Einstellungen werden lokal in der App gespeichert – einschließlich der Symbol-Schlagwörter, die aus deinen Deutungen abgeleitet werden. Das Gerät verlässt davon nur das, was du für eine KI-Auswertung selbst absendest (Abschnitt 4).
Erzeugte Traumbilder bleiben dauerhaft in einem privaten Ordner der App – nicht in deiner Galerie. Andere Apps und Personen, die durch deine Fotos wischen, bekommen sie also nicht zu sehen. Ein einmal erzeugtes Bild wird beim Ansehen aus der Datei geladen und nie erneut vom Server geholt. Löschst du den Tagebuch-Eintrag, wird die Bilddatei mitgelöscht; erzeugst du für denselben Traum ein neues Bild, ersetzt es das alte.
Antworten und Berichte aus den Tagebuch-Auswertungen werden nur auf deinem Gerät gespeichert, damit du sie später nachlesen kannst. Du kannst sie dort einzeln löschen. Bei uns bleibt keine Kopie.
Das Traumlexikon funktioniert vollständig offline; dabei entsteht keinerlei Datenverkehr.
Diese Daten werden gelöscht, sobald du die App deinstallierst oder die App-Daten in den Android-Einstellungen löschst.
Sicherung: Wenn du in deinem Google-Konto das automatische Android-Backup aktiviert hast, kann Android die App-Daten in dein eigenes Google-Konto sichern. Das ist eine Funktion von Android und Google, nicht von uns – wir haben auf diese Sicherung keinen Zugriff. Du kannst sie in den Android-Einstellungen abschalten.
Export: Du kannst deine Einträge selbst als Datei exportieren. Wo diese Datei danach liegt und wer sie sehen kann, entscheidest du.

Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (berechtigtes Interesse an der Grundfunktion der App). Da diese Daten das Gerät nicht verlassen, findet keine Übermittlung an uns statt.

4. KI-Funktionen: Deutung, Tagebuch-Auswertungen, Schlafgeschichten, Traumbilder

Für die KI-Funktionen muss der von dir eingegebene Text dein Gerät verlassen. Das ist technisch nicht anders möglich – die Verarbeitung findet nicht auf deinem Handy statt. Der Weg ist bei allen KI-Funktionen derselbe; unterschiedlich ist nur, was jeweils mitgeschickt wird.

Was passiert genau

Dein eingegebener Text wird an unseren Server-Dienst geschickt. Dieser läuft auf einer weltweit verteilten Infrastruktur – Anfragen werden im nächstgelegenen Rechenzentrum verarbeitet, bei Nutzern aus Deutschland in der Regel innerhalb der EU, ohne dass wir das garantieren können.
Von dort wird er an einen spezialisierten KI-Dienstleister in den USA weitergereicht und dort von einem großen Sprachmodell verarbeitet.
Traumbilder werden über einen Bildgenerierungsdienst desselben Infrastruktur-Anbieters erzeugt.
Du bekommst die Antwort zurück – und damit endet die Verarbeitung.

Was dabei übertragen wird

Deutung eines Traums: der Traumtext. Dazu kommen, wenn du sie angibst, freiwillige Zusatzangaben: die Stimmung beim Aufwachen, die Markierungen „Klartraum" und „Wiederkehrend" sowie eine kurze Notiz „Was beschäftigt dich gerade?" (höchstens 300 Zeichen). Mitgeschickt wird außerdem die gewählte Deutungsperspektive (z. B. „Jung") – das ist eine Einstellung, keine Angabe über dich.
Vertiefung mit deiner Antwort: Beantwortest du die Reflexionsfrage, geht dein frei geschriebener Text (höchstens 1.000 Zeichen) zusammen mit der bisherigen Deutung erneut hinaus, damit die KI daran anknüpfen kann.
„Frag dein Tagebuch" und Wochen-/Monatsbericht (nur im Premium-Abo): gekürzte Auszüge aus mehreren Tagebuch-Einträgen. Je Traum sind das das Datum (tagesgenau, ohne Uhrzeit), der Titel, die Stimmung, bis zu zehn Symbol-Schlagwörter und die ersten 600 Zeichen des Traumtexts – nie der vollständige Eintrag. Einbezogen werden höchstens die 60 neuesten Träume. Bei „Frag dein Tagebuch" kommt die Frage dazu, die du selbst tippst (höchstens 300 Zeichen). Diese Grenzen erzwingt zusätzlich unser Server: Was darüber hinausgeht, wird gekürzt oder abgewiesen.

Eine Tagebuch-Auswertung läuft nie von allein – sie startet nur, wenn du sie auslöst. Vor der allerersten Auswertung zeigt dir die App, was dabei genau dein Gerät verlässt, und du musst bestätigen; brichst du ab, wird nichts übertragen. Auch die Erinnerung an den Wochenbericht am Sonntagabend verschickt nichts – sie wird nur auf deinem Gerät geplant (siehe Abschnitt 10).

Was wir dabei speichern

Keine Trauminhalte. Deine Texte und die Tagebuch-Auszüge werden ausschließlich zur Erzeugung der Antwort verarbeitet und von uns nicht gespeichert. Unsere Server-Protokolle enthalten nur technische Metadaten – Sprache, Textlänge, Antwortzeit und bei Auswertungen zusätzlich die Anzahl der einbezogenen Einträge und die Gesamtzahl der Zeichen – niemals den Inhalt. Im Protokoll steht also, dass 23 Träume ausgewertet wurden, nicht welche.

Für Traumbilder gilt dasselbe: Der Server erzeugt das Bild, schickt es einmal an dein Gerät und behält keine Kopie. Ab da liegt es nur noch bei dir (siehe Abschnitt 3).

Auch die Antwort oder der Bericht einer Tagebuch-Auswertung wird bei uns nicht abgelegt – sie geht einmal an dein Gerät und wird danach nur dort gespeichert (siehe Abschnitt 3).

Bitte bedenke beim Schreiben: Träume enthalten oft sehr Persönliches – zu Gesundheit, Beziehungen, Ängsten oder Glauben. Dieser Text wird an einen Dienstleister in den USA übermittelt. Schreibe deshalb bitte keine Klarnamen anderer Personen, keine Anschriften, Kontaktdaten oder Gesundheitsdaten in den Text, den du an die KI schickst. Für die Deutung sind sie nicht nötig – „meine Schwester" reicht völlig. Für die Tagebuch-Auswertungen gilt das rückwirkend: Übertragen werden dann Auszüge aus Einträgen, die du irgendwann früher geschrieben hast. Steht dort etwas, das dein Gerät nicht verlassen soll, ändere oder lösche den Eintrag, bevor du eine Auswertung startest.

Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO – die Verarbeitung ist erforderlich, um die von dir angeforderte Funktion zu erbringen. Du entscheidest bei jeder Anfrage selbst, ob du sie absendest; bei den Tagebuch-Auswertungen zusätzlich einmal grundsätzlich, bevor überhaupt die erste läuft.
Übermittlung in ein Drittland: Die Übermittlung in die USA erfolgt auf Grundlage der EU-Standardvertragsklauseln nach Art. 46 Abs. 2 lit. c DSGVO.

Das Traumlexikon, das Führen des Tagebuchs und die Atemübung funktionieren ohne diese Übermittlung. Wenn du die KI-Funktionen nicht nutzt, verlässt kein Trauminhalt dein Gerät.

5. Missbrauchsschutz

Damit einzelne Geräte die KI-Funktionen nicht unbegrenzt beanspruchen, gilt ein Tageslimit. Für die Tagebuch-Auswertungen kommt ein eigenes Limit von 10 Auswertungen pro Gerät und Tag hinzu, weil dabei mehr Daten auf einmal verarbeitet werden. Dafür erzeugt die App eine zufällige Geräte-Kennung – ausdrücklich nicht die Werbe-ID und kein Merkmal, das dich als Person identifiziert. Sie dient nur als Zähler und wird nach höchstens 48 Stunden gelöscht.

Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (berechtigtes Interesse am Schutz des Dienstes vor Überlastung und Missbrauch).

6. Werbung (nur in der Gratis-Version)

Die kostenlose Version finanziert sich über Werbung, unter anderem über optionale Belohnungsvideos (du entscheidest selbst, ob du eines ansiehst, um eine Funktion freizuschalten). Hierfür setzen wir Google AdMob ein, einen Dienst der Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland). Im Premium-Abo wird keine Werbung geladen.

Bei der Werbeauslieferung können verarbeitet werden: Werbe-ID, IP-Adresse, Geräte- und Nutzungsinformationen sowie Interaktionen mit Anzeigen.

Damit das klar gesagt ist: Bei personalisierter Werbung wertet Google diese Daten aus, um dir Anzeigen nach vermuteten Interessen auszuspielen – auch app-übergreifend. Das ist eine Profilbildung, und sie findet statt, wenn du im Einwilligungsdialog zustimmst. Wir selbst erhalten diese Profile nicht und wissen nicht, welche Anzeigen dir gezeigt werden.

Einwilligung in der EU/im EWR

Bevor Werbung geladen wird, holen wir über Googles zertifizierte Einwilligungslösung (User Messaging Platform, „UMP") beim ersten Start deine Einwilligung ein. Ohne Einwilligung wird ausschließlich nicht-personalisierte Werbung ausgeliefert. Du kannst deine Auswahl jederzeit in der App unter „Einstellungen → Datenschutzoptionen" ändern oder widerrufen.

Werbe-ID zurücksetzen: in den Android-Einstellungen unter „Datenschutz → Werbung".

7. Nutzungsanalyse (Google Firebase Analytics)

Die App verwendet Google Firebase Analytics, um Nutzungsereignisse zu erfassen – zum Beispiel „App geöffnet" oder „Deutung abgeschlossen". Das dient ausschließlich dazu, die App zu verbessern und die Wirkung unserer Werbekampagnen zu messen.

Übertragen werden dabei Geräteinformationen (z. B. Gerätemodell, Betriebssystemversion) und eine zufällig erzeugte Instanz-ID. Trauminhalte, Tagebucheinträge oder sonstige von dir eingegebene Texte werden niemals an Analytics übermittelt – die Ereignisse sagen nur, dass eine Funktion benutzt wurde, nicht womit.

Damit das genauso ehrlich dasteht wie der Rest dieser Seite: Diese Daten sind pseudonym, nicht anonym. Über die Instanz-ID lassen sich die Ereignisse einem Gerät zuordnen, solange die ID besteht. Sie enthält keinen Namen und ist nicht die Werbe-ID; sie wird zurückgesetzt, wenn du die App-Daten löschst oder die App deinstallierst.

Anbieter ist die Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland.

Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO (Einwilligung) sowie § 25 Abs. 1 TDDDG für das Speichern und Auslesen der Instanz-ID auf deinem Gerät. Wir holen diese Einwilligung im selben Dialog ein wie für die Werbung (siehe Abschnitt 6). Ohne deine Zustimmung findet keine Nutzungsanalyse statt. Du kannst sie jederzeit unter „Einstellungen → Datenschutzoptionen" widerrufen.
Übermittlung in ein Drittland: Eine Übertragung in die USA ist möglich. Grundlage ist der EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Angemessenheitsbeschluss nach Art. 45 DSGVO), hilfsweise die EU-Standardvertragsklauseln (Art. 46 Abs. 2 lit. c DSGVO).

8. Premium-Abo

Das Abo wird über Google Play abgeschlossen und abgerechnet. Deine Zahlungsdaten erhalten wir nicht – sie verbleiben bei Google. Wir erfahren nur, ob für ein Gerät ein gültiges Abo besteht.

Zur Verwaltung des Abo-Status nutzen wir einen Dienstleister in den USA als Auftragsverarbeiter. Dabei werden pseudonyme Kauf- und Gerätedaten verarbeitet (z. B. Kauf-Kennung, Abo-Status, Gerätetyp) – kein Name, keine Anschrift, keine Zahlungsdaten.

Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (Erfüllung des Abo-Vertrags).
Übermittlung in ein Drittland: USA, auf Grundlage der EU-Standardvertragsklauseln (Art. 46 Abs. 2 lit. c DSGVO).

Kündigung und Verwaltung des Abos erfolgen in deinem Google-Play-Konto unter „Zahlungen und Abos".

9. Diktierfunktion

Wenn du einen Traum diktierst, nutzt die App die Spracherkennung deines Android-Geräts (Google). Die Verarbeitung erfolgt durch Google nach dessen Datenschutzbestimmungen. Die App speichert keine Audio-Aufnahmen – sie erhält nur den erkannten Text und behandelt ihn wie einen getippten Eintrag.

10. Benachrichtigungen

Erinnerungen werden rein lokal auf deinem Gerät geplant. Es gibt keinen Push-Server, wir versenden keine Nachrichten und erfahren nicht, ob oder wann eine Erinnerung ausgelöst wurde.

Darüber hinaus geben wir keine Daten weiter. Wir verkaufen keine Daten – weder Trauminhalte noch anonymisierte oder zusammengefasste Auswertungen davon.

Du willst wissen, welche Firmen das genau sind? Schreib uns – wir nennen sie dir. Wir führen sie nur nicht öffentlich auf dieser Seite auf.

12. Speicherdauer

Träume, Tagebuch, Einstellungen: auf deinem Gerät, bis du sie löschst oder die App deinstallierst.
Trauminhalte bei uns: gar nicht – sie werden nur zur Antwort verarbeitet und nicht gespeichert.
Antworten und Berichte der Tagebuch-Auswertungen: auf deinem Gerät, bis du sie löschst oder die App deinstallierst – bei uns gar nicht.
Technische Protokolle (Sprache, Textlänge, Antwortzeit; bei Auswertungen zusätzlich Anzahl der Einträge und Zeichenmenge): kurzzeitig zur Fehlersuche.
Zähler für das Tageslimit: höchstens 48 Stunden.
Nutzungsereignisse (Firebase Analytics): bei Google, nach der in unserem Konto eingestellten Frist für nutzerbezogene Daten (Voreinstellung 2 Monate). Zusammengefasste Auswertungen ohne Gerätebezug können darüber hinaus bestehen bleiben.
Daten bei den in Abschnitt 11 genannten Dienstleistern: nach deren jeweiligen Fristen.

13. Deine Rechte

Dir stehen nach der DSGVO folgende Rechte zu: Auskunft (Art. 15), Berichtigung (Art. 16), Löschung (Art. 17), Einschränkung der Verarbeitung (Art. 18), Datenübertragbarkeit (Art. 20) sowie Widerspruch (Art. 21). Eine erteilte Einwilligung kannst du jederzeit mit Wirkung für die Zukunft widerrufen.

Ein Hinweis dazu, der ehrlich gemeint ist: Da wir kein Konto und keine Nutzerdatenbank führen, können wir dich einer Anfrage in aller Regel gar nicht zuordnen – wir haben schlicht nichts über dich gespeichert. Die einzige Ausnahme sind die pseudonymen Nutzungsereignisse aus Abschnitt 7 – auch die können wir keiner Person zuordnen, aber du kannst sie unterbinden, indem du deine Einwilligung widerrufst. Deine Traumdaten löschst du selbst, indem du sie in der App oder die App-Daten insgesamt löschst.

Wende dich bei Fragen an support@zandoriasystems.de. Außerdem hast du das Recht, dich bei einer Datenschutz-Aufsichtsbehörde zu beschweren – etwa dem Unabhängigen Landeszentrum für Datenschutz Schleswig-Holstein (ULD), Holstenstraße 98, 24103 Kiel.

14. Kinder

Dreamlex richtet sich an Erwachsene und ist im Google Play Store entsprechend eingestuft. Die App nimmt nicht am Google-Play-Familienprogramm teil, und es wird keine kindergerichtete Werbung ausgeliefert. Wir verarbeiten nicht wissentlich personenbezogene Daten von Kindern.

15. Änderungen dieser Datenschutzerklärung

Wir passen diese Datenschutzerklärung an, wenn sich die App oder die Rechtslage ändert. Es gilt die jeweils an dieser Stelle veröffentlichte Fassung.

This privacy policy applies only to the app "Dreamlex". For our games (Aurena Moonlight, Star Bastion, Astrovex: Space Shooter, Pixel Atelier) the general privacy policy applies. Dreamlex has its own because it adds AI features and a subscription. Our other apps have their own: Astrolex (astrology) and Humanlex (Human Design).

2. The short version

Dreamlex is deliberately built so that as little as possible is known about you:

No account, no sign-up. We run no user accounts and no user database of our own. We do not know who you are.
Your dreams and journal live on your device. They sit in a database inside the app. We hold no copy of them, and nothing is transferred to us on an ongoing basis.
One exception, triggered by you: for the AI evaluations of your journal ("Ask your journal" and the weekly/monthly report, both premium-only), shortened excerpts of several entries do leave your device. This only happens when you start an evaluation – and the first time, the app asks you beforehand. Section 4 spells out exactly what is sent.
We do not store dream content. Not even the text processed for an AI interpretation.
We look at numbers, not at content. With your consent we use Google Firebase Analytics to record which features are used (e.g. "app opened") – never what you write. Dream content and journal entries are never sent to Analytics, and we build no profiles of individual people from it. Details in section 7.
However: the free version shows ads via Google AdMob. If you consent to personalised advertising, Google processes your advertising ID for that purpose and builds cross-app interest profiles from it. That is tracking – even though it is not us doing it. Details in section 6. If you do not consent, you only see non-personalised ads. In the premium subscription no ads are loaded at all, so none of this happens.

What does leave your device is described in section 4 – please read it before using the AI features.

3. Data on your device

Your dream entries, your journal and your settings are stored locally in the app – including the symbol keywords derived from your interpretations. The only part that ever leaves your device is what you send yourself for an AI evaluation (section 4).
Generated dream images stay permanently in a private folder belonging to the app – not in your photo gallery. Other apps, and anyone swiping through your photos, therefore never see them. Once generated, an image is loaded from that file when you view it and is never fetched from the server again. If you delete the journal entry, the image file is deleted with it; if you generate a new image for the same dream, it replaces the old one.
Answers and reports from the journal evaluations are stored on your device only, so you can read them again later. You can delete them there individually. No copy stays with us.
The dream dictionary works fully offline; using it creates no network traffic at all.
This data is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear the app data in your Android settings.
Backup: If automatic Android backup is enabled in your Google account, Android may back the app data up into your own Google account. That is a function of Android and Google, not of ours – we have no access to that backup. You can switch it off in your Android settings.
Export: You can export your entries to a file yourself. Where that file then lives, and who can see it, is your decision.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the app's core functionality). As this data does not leave your device, no transmission to us takes place.

4. AI features: interpretation, journal evaluations, sleep stories, dream images

For the AI features, the text you enter has to leave your device. There is no way around this – the processing does not happen on your phone. The route is the same for every AI feature; what differs is what gets sent along.

What happens exactly

Your text is sent to our server service. It runs on a globally distributed infrastructure – requests are processed in the nearest data centre, which for users in Germany is usually within the EU, although we cannot guarantee this.
From there it is passed to a specialised AI provider in the United States and processed by a large language model.
Dream images are generated via an image generation service run by the same infrastructure provider.
You receive the answer – and with that the processing ends.

What is transmitted

Interpreting a single dream: the dream text. If you provide them, optional extras go with it: your mood on waking, the "lucid" and "recurring" markers, and a short note on what is currently on your mind (max. 300 characters). The chosen interpretive perspective (e.g. "Jung") is sent too – that is a setting, not information about you.
Going deeper with your answer: if you answer the reflection question, the text you write (max. 1,000 characters) is sent out again together with the interpretation so far, so the AI can build on it.
"Ask your journal" and the weekly/monthly report (premium subscription only): shortened excerpts from several journal entries. Per dream that is the date (day-level, no time of day), the title, the mood, up to ten symbol keywords and the first 600 characters of the dream text – never the full entry. At most the 60 most recent dreams are included. For "Ask your journal", the question you type yourself is added (max. 300 characters). Our server enforces these limits as well: anything beyond them is truncated or rejected.

A journal evaluation never runs by itself – it only starts when you trigger it. Before the very first evaluation the app shows you exactly what will leave your device and asks you to confirm; if you cancel, nothing is transmitted. The Sunday-evening reminder about the weekly report sends nothing either – it is scheduled locally on your device (see section 10).

What we store in the process

No dream content. Your texts and the journal excerpts are processed solely to generate the answer and are not stored by us. Our server logs contain technical metadata only – language, text length, response time and, for evaluations, the number of entries included and the total character count – never the content. The log therefore records that 23 dreams were evaluated, not which ones.

The same applies to dream images: the server generates the image, sends it to your device once and keeps no copy. From then on it exists only on your phone (see section 3).

The answer or report from a journal evaluation is not stored with us either – it is sent to your device once and kept only there afterwards (see section 3).

Please keep this in mind while writing: Dreams often contain deeply personal material – about health, relationships, fears or beliefs. This text is transmitted to a provider in the United States. Please do not put other people's real names, addresses, contact details or health data into the text you send to the AI. The interpretation does not need them – "my sister" is entirely sufficient. For the journal evaluations this applies retroactively: what gets sent then are excerpts from entries you wrote at some point in the past. If one of them contains something that should not leave your device, edit or delete that entry before starting an evaluation.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – the processing is necessary to provide the function you requested. You decide with every request whether to send it; for the journal evaluations there is an additional, one-off decision before the first one runs at all.
Transfer to a third country: The transfer to the USA is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses under Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR.

The dream dictionary, keeping the journal itself and the breathing exercise all work without this transfer. If you do not use the AI features, no dream content leaves your device.

5. Abuse protection

To stop individual devices from consuming the AI features without limit, a daily quota applies. Journal evaluations carry their own additional limit of 10 evaluations per device per day, because they process more data at once. For this the app generates a random device identifier – explicitly not the advertising ID and not anything that identifies you as a person. It serves purely as a counter and is deleted after at most 48 hours.

6. Advertising (free version only)

The free version is financed through advertising, including optional rewarded videos (you decide yourself whether to watch one in order to unlock a feature). For this we use Google AdMob, a service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). No ads are loaded in the premium subscription.

When serving ads, the following may be processed: advertising ID, IP address, device and usage information, and interactions with ads.

To say it plainly: with personalised advertising, Google analyses this data in order to show you ads based on presumed interests, including across apps. That is profiling, and it happens if you consent in the consent dialog. We ourselves do not receive these profiles and do not know which ads you are shown.

Consent in the EU/EEA

Before any ads are loaded, we obtain your consent on first launch via Google's certified consent solution (User Messaging Platform, "UMP"). Without consent, only non-personalised ads are served. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time in the app under "Settings → Privacy options".

Reset your advertising ID: in your Android settings under "Privacy → Ads".

7. Usage analytics (Google Firebase Analytics)

The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to record usage events – for example "app opened" or "interpretation completed". This serves solely to improve the app and to measure the effect of our advertising campaigns.

What is transmitted is device information (e.g. device model, operating system version) and a randomly generated instance ID. Dream content, journal entries or any other text you enter is never transmitted to Analytics – the events only record that a feature was used, not what with.

To put this as plainly as the rest of this page does: this data is pseudonymous, not anonymous. The instance ID allows the events to be linked to a single device for as long as that ID exists. It contains no name and is not the advertising ID; it is reset when you clear the app data or uninstall the app.

The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), together with § 25(1) TDDDG for storing and reading the instance ID on your device. We obtain this consent in the same dialog as for advertising (see section 6). Without your consent no usage analytics takes place. You can withdraw it at any time under "Settings → Privacy options".
Transfer to a third country: A transfer to the USA is possible. It is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision under Art. 45 GDPR) and, in the alternative, on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).

8. Premium subscription

The subscription is concluded and billed through Google Play. We do not receive your payment details – they stay with Google. All we learn is whether a valid subscription exists for a device.

To manage subscription status we use a service provider in the United States as a processor. Pseudonymous purchase and device data is processed (e.g. purchase identifier, subscription status, device type) – no name, no address, no payment details.

Transfer to a third country: USA, based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).

You cancel and manage the subscription in your Google Play account under "Payments and subscriptions".

9. Dictation

If you dictate a dream, the app uses your Android device's speech recognition (Google). Processing is carried out by Google under its own privacy terms. The app stores no audio recordings – it only receives the recognised text and treats it like a typed entry.

10. Notifications

Reminders are scheduled purely locally on your device. There is no push server, we send no messages, and we do not learn whether or when a reminder fired.

We pass on no data beyond this. We do not sell data – neither dream content nor anonymised or aggregated analyses of it.

12. Retention

Dreams, journal, settings: on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
Dream content with us: none at all – processed for the answer only, never stored.
Answers and reports from journal evaluations: on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app – not with us at all.
Technical logs (language, text length, response time; for evaluations also the number of entries and the character count): briefly, for troubleshooting.
Daily quota counter: at most 48 hours.
Usage events (Firebase Analytics): held by Google, for the user-level retention period configured in our account (default 2 months). Aggregated reports without a device reference may be kept beyond that.
Data held by the service providers listed in section 11: according to their own retention periods.

13. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights: access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future.

One honest note on this: because we run no account and no user database, we generally cannot link a request to you at all – we simply hold nothing about you. The only exception is the pseudonymous usage events described in section 7 – we cannot link those to a person either, but you can stop them by withdrawing your consent. You delete your dream data yourself by removing it in the app or clearing the app data.

14. Children

Dreamlex is intended for adults and is rated accordingly in the Google Play Store. The app does not take part in the Google Play Families programme, and no child-directed advertising is served. We do not knowingly process personal data of children.

15. Changes to this privacy policy

We will update this privacy policy if the app or the legal situation changes. The version published here at the relevant time applies.
